I know the Group of Five Guys got in some trouble when they came to Protective Stadium for their lack of media and press etiquette in the boxes their first year as a podcast...but they are passionate about G5 football and one of the few podcasts that cover it well.

This is their interview with UAB Secondary and Special Teams Coordinator Kenneth Gilstrap.
The GOFG are all MTSU football alum, so they all know Gilstrap from his work and playing there.

Their AAC preview will be out soon and every week during the season, they recap games and preview upcoming games.

I liked the part about cross-training guys to play different positions. You never know when someone will get hurt, or a player's body grows and changes over his career. Allows them to be able to call specific matchups that favor the defense because they've been coached up and are not playing out of place.

Gilstrap is an impressive young man. I'm glad we have him. I think Dilfer hired a whole bag of talented and hungry coaches. I can't tell you how badly I'd like to shock some of the people talking trash about UAB.

He is a bright young coach and I look forward to watching him develop.
