Bad can mean a lot of different things. It’s bad in the sense it is a tiny facility. I stopped on campus last time through ATL. It is very nicely built but you don’t see 900sqft houses on the golf course.

The stadium was built to be a soccer stadium. It is a nice stadium, but it feels like they put money in other areas instead of building more seats. There is alot of standing room or party decks above the seating. If you ever get to attend a MTSU vs KSU game at the stadium, you will see what I am talking about. It is weird with all the standing room the stadium has. The stadium is built to be expandable, but I think KSU wants to build a new football stadium. I also think they cannot expand 5/3 Bank Stadium because of the Atlanta United contract.

Honestly I would rather KSU just expand what y’all already have. It’s nice and 20k is all you really need. Assuming it can expand I would do it. 20-25k is ideal for a G5 imo. I’d bowl it in, add a new press box and an small upper deck opposite the press box. It’s a great location and seems like a fun venue. I’ll be attending games there that’s for sure.

The us open cup games vs lower leagues sell out I think. If Atlanta has home games late in that tournament, they'll play at the Benz. The 2nd team that plays their season at the bank doesn't get much attendance. As long as we build up and don't shrink the field size, I don't see why they'd take issue with expansion. Might even like being able to sell more tickets for usoc.

I am not 100% sure on the statement I made regarding the fact that they cannot expand the stadium due to the ATL contract, it is something I heard. I heard that in the contract, they cannot increase stadium capacity because it would effect the view of the field when the stadium host soccer games, even though the stadium is built to be expandable. KSU owns the stadium and they can always tell Atlanta United to pound sand.

There is no reason whatsoever at this point as the league will be able to respond to any departures by plucking programs that are not going anywhere anytime soon...

If they were to expand, here are some teams to keep in mind.

No, she said that 12 ideal. But that we aren't rushing into anything.

So to put the question another way, why do people(like the very misguided author of this silly blog post or whatever it's meant to be) keep trying to rush us into things?

They won the MLS Cup a few years ago. More than you can say for Atlanta’s other pro football team.

I'm almost certain that the silliest suggestions are meant soley it irritate you. You're famous througout the www for your anti expansion stance, which is "usually" well founded.

To be fair the Braves won one too.
