Ok! Get him on the field and make some plays! Can we let this die on the vine and carry-on with our lives now?

Nice. Utilizing his athleticism. That’s cool he was so open to a switch!
Edit: Just listened to Satt’s comments. Get the feel he obviously will probably have growth as true WR but will help starting game one so enough confidence in his hands. I’m interested to see his route running ability. Sounds like he will also be utilized in wildcat, motioning, and trick plays.
Interested in BearCattlets thoughts since he thought we had Lamar Jackson or Michael Vick just sitting on the bench at QB. RB position was bogus to me with his frame unless he buffed up to Derrick Henry muscles unless he just wanted a few rushes a game which I have a feeling we will see just from direct snaps or motion plays instead of handoffs.

I hope he embraces the change and gets to play a lot in front of the hometown fans. That wasn't going to happen at QB but his loyalty to UC is admirable in this age of the portal so I hope for the best.

Tells me more about Coach Satterfield's confidence in our other quarterbacks. Which is a very good thing.

If he desires to play at the next level, this is a smart move for him. Julien Edelman did ok.

It was a smart move when he was at Wyoming HS but he passed on the opportunities to do it. Glad this staff was able to show him that this is the best opportunity for him. Kid has NFL level size and athleticism if he can put the hands and route running skills all together.

Reminds me more of a poor mans Terrell Pryor especially frame and athletic whys and that’s by no means no knock since he’s making the switch earlier on in his life/career and the above mentioned IIRC was a top 10 FB and Bball recruit.
Julian was a Belly knack guy. Think there were about 3 minimum that played that same role at the same level. Obviously Wes Welker had his concussion issues but without looking at stats I would argue was a better player.

I liked Satt's response. I doubt it matters much, but it doesn't seem like something Fickell would have done.

Yeah, you’re right. That is a better comparison.

It's nice to once again have a coaching staff that is actually evaluating their personnel to utilize their maximum potential to help the team.

Take note buckeye fan...
1. With some actual coaching and proper game planning for his skills, whatever he was, it was worth giving a shot rather than the statue we had standing back there all season.
2. Last year was last year. We didn't have Jones or Drogosh on the team last year, now did we?

Your dush a$$ had to be one of the hammerhead booers thinking it was ‘03 and Jon Kitna > ‘22 and Bryant
Also, Ok pal sure he didn’t get much of a shot at the QB spot. But wonder why it’s been Fickell, interim assistants, and Satt now, btw who he fits his play book if he had an arm.
Made it clear you’re clueless on football when you suggested the RB position over WR for Prater lol.
Will you finally admit you were wrong? Na, but it’s ok we are all rooting for Evan and always have been.
Some were just realistic that a 4 star D4 Ohio hs guy (with no blue blood offers) doesn’t auto mean we have Mike Vick/Lamar Jackson type of QB on the bench.
Edit: F off with you Ben Bearcat Banter jokes. Guy is also a Bearcat through and through just like Evan

Perhaps, or it was representative of the politics around the QB position. For reference, Joe Burrow never got a shot at OSU, and he is now one of the best in the NFL.
