BJCC...that will be the problem. Oak Mountain has good concessions and parking and all that jazz without it costing an arm and a leg. This is just another great venue the BJCC will handcuff

You should actually read the article before responding.

"Under the agreement, Live Nation will manage the facility..."

Live Nation operates Oak Mountain.

True, but what the article says and what will be reality could be two different things.

I think it is more likely Live Nation manages the facility in regards to scheduling and event operations, while the BJCC maintains and expands their vendor contracts in regards to concessions, etc.

I know what could bring prices down, but I can only post about it in another forum. The last time I posted in the other forum, I got banned because they thought I was somebody else. Had to get AB to unban me.

Prices for lots of stuff wasn’t so bad 4 years ago. I kind of want to see Rob Zombie or Avenged Sevenfold at this new amphitheater

You can post it here. We've addressed that issue.

OM getting run down, prices still outrageous. They now charge for parking and getting in and out is hell. Glad to get away from it.

Oak Mountain is garbage. I've probably been 2 or 3 times in the last 10 years, mainly because the good artists aren't going there anymore. Venue sucks. Not enough concession lines or bathrooms for the capacity of the place, and they're a mile away from your seats. You'll miss half the show getting a drink and taking a leak. It's a disaster getting into and out of the place. Good riddance.

Tuscaloosa Amphitheatre did it right. Hell, you can see the stage from the beer line. And I've heard great things about Orion in Huntsville, just haven't had a chance to see a show there though.

Orion up in Huntsville has been GOATED. No reason to go anywhere else in the state IMO.

It looks nice! Some major artists are not skipping Huntsville with the Orion being there 03-yes

Tuscaloosa and Sand Mountain are great venues that did it right.

Snarky, maybe. But you're the person who sh!t on this thing, and your argument for doing so was refuted in the second sentence of the article that you obviously didn't read. When you whiff that bad, snark is to be expected.

If the new amphitheater here is designed and executed properly, not having to drive to Huntsville seems like a good reason.

I did read the article. It mentioned BJCC managed and Live Nation operated. I didn't interpret that to mean that BJCC was washing their hands of the entire project and letting Live Nation manage concessions, bathrooms, parking, ect. It is pretty safe assumption on my part. Legacy and Protective are owned by BJCC and they manage them. I took it to mean Live Nation was responsible for talent booking. If that isn't what they are doing it still doesn't change my stance.

I have dealt with BJCC for more than 40 years, and in that experienced, they f up everything so the simple fact they are a part of this, with my experience, tells me somehow...someway...they will find a way to screw this up.

I didn't crap on the idea of the Amphitheatre, i was simply stating from personal experience that the simple fact BJCC is involved is a bad thing.

There are nicer ways to challenge an opinion and treating someone as less than you isn't one of them. F off
