Nah I think we come back down to earth this year. As much as I love to troll Texas State here, they are unironically the easiest OOC opponent this year since we didn’t schedule an FCS and I don’t think it’ll be a free win. Starting conference play at 1-3 could actually happen. 2 early friday home games which will hurt attendance. SMU and Memphis got easier schedules and we end the season after thanksgiving at Tulane. This is all assuming A&M or UT haven’t already poached Coach Traylor from us by then

Think it’ll be between Troy and Tulane this year. Making our third CCG in a row would already be a successful year, regardless if that also meant losing to Tulane back to back.

Anyway, Troy/Kansas State and ECU/App I’ll be scheduling my days around for.

Army playing three Sun Belt teams! Black Knights are eager to become an honorary member. I hope we continue to see more of them in football...

I don't like making predictions for most individual games, I make predictions on blocks of games.

FCS: Side note here, the Sun Belt has gone the longest of any FBS conference without soiling their record with an FCS loss. We are undefeated since GS lost a neutral-site hurricane game to New Hampshire in 2017 (thanks Tyson Summers).

Power 5 games: We will win 4 again and I'll say the same I say every year...it's not about finding 4 games that on paper you should win. We will have P5 wins that no one expects just like we done many times over the last 4-5 years. From the spreads in the FPI you can expect 3 wins but I think we'll be better than the FPI predicts.

We're a long way from the old days when Preseason magazines did so little research and made so little effort, that one preseason publication famously had the Sun Belt going 32-40 in Conference play.
