Like Butch Jones , he has a solid reputation when it comes to recruiting and developing talent , and it is a plus that he thinks they have enough talent to finish high in the SBC in year one.

While they do not have a 247College Team Talent in basketball for me to link to allow for a comparison , both the A-State men's and women's basketball coaches are on record saying they like their team's talent, right now.

In football , where 247 says they have had the best rosters of talent in the SBC during his tenure, and will likely be one of if not the best in 2023, Butch Jones is a little more circumvent as far as discussing his talent. He said likes their effort, but still thinks they need a little work.

It would certainly be nice for their new AD-who I think is special, if all three programs have enough talent to finish in the upper half of the SBC in 2023.
