I'm always wondering about our season tickets sold every year, and it's rarely shared. Per JJ Perez on Twitter, it was tweeted a few hours ago that our current season ticket numbers for 2023 are at 8,744. I'm curious how that compares with some of you guys we joined in the AAC. Anyone else know your numbers so far?

We have a S.A.D., so we're lucky to get a schedule out.

I can confirm 5 among me and my friends.

ECU was at 13,800 a month ago. The goal is 16,000.

We'll easily pass 16,000 before Sept 9th

clt checked our ticket page and we don't have many season tickets to sell. less than 125

Was it Memphis or USF that turned in terrible attendance numbers and blamed it on ticket scanners?

It was ticket scanners. The stadium was more than half full and they were reporting like 20k at some of the games in a 58K stadium.

2 season ago I went to all but one home game and my ticket was only scanned once.

clt says Charlotte has the same issue. multiple times last year, we went thru security but no one scanned tickets. or all of the tickets

I experienced it twice. Scanner did not work so they waved us through to avoid delays to other fans.

They do. Only an extremely small minority of schools can say they report butts in seats.

Usually schools reports tickets sold and distributed. At USF because we play at a city owned stadium they also report actual number on stadium, this number isn’t reported by school owned stadiums. So we usually see the school reported and the City reported numbers.

The Liberty Bowl is not owned by the University. Attendance was counted by LB personal via scan. I believe the methodology was recently changed.

Navy doesn't release numbers. NAAA keeps most money / numbers things as hush hush as they are able.
In the case of tickets, I think part of it is to avoid making it seem to hard as we market Navy Gameday to the non-Navy-related locals.

During the 2020 COVID season, the Capital had a story on the financial impact of the pandemic. At that time, NAAA said we have 5,000 season ticket patrons for 22,000 tickets, and 80% either donated the 2020 expense or held it over for 2021. I'd guess we're still around 22,000.
