For the opener, I am assuming BC will be a 3 to 4 point favorite. Both teams coming off 3-9 injury riddled seasons.

Winning this game will set the tone for a successful season- cannot wait.

Seems fair, any home team should be favored by at least one TD. Especially two teams that were equally bad last year.

As a fan I like the huskies. The offense should produce points and if the defense shows even a little improvement then the 10.5 line should be easy $$$.

So if you want to make that leap and believe in the defense, you can. The warning is of course no one has really mentioned how anything is going to be different and we are still trotting out the 4-2-5 with the huskie being #3 or worse on the depth chart at safety or #4 or worse on the depth chart at linebacker.

Dillion thomas was a very good huskie because he was a starter at corner and safety. He was big and could run. It sure we have another guy like that this season.

Seems right to me. BC had basically zero starts at OL last year and this year bring something like 150. Lost a top WR to the draft but reloaded with a nice transfer or two. Defense will be stout against MAC teams. I’m hopeful but not confident at all. This years team will be much improved for both schools.

NIU had nothing at WR and no Rocky

Should be no more than 7.5 max and even then I think that is high.

I don't think NIU gives this team enough possessions to score 27+ they would need minimum to cover if they get back to any iota of 2022 form.

Which....to me...is astonishing how quickly this place got around to feeling disrespected by every imaginable national metric/publication.

Last year, BC, as bad as they were, would have beat us by 30 points.

And, until proven otherwise (Rocky's health, defense isn't a sieve, etc) then a 10.5 dog on the road against ANY P5 team is pretty gracious.

NIU with Graham at QB, and NIU with Childers at QB....completely different teams when your QB can keep a steady offense going and the defense off the field

Our defense got obliterated. I think any confidence that is there this season has a lot to do with how everyone thinks the defense will do.
