Criminals in El Paso will still be caught and imprisoned here.

Nutjobs like the teachers elsewhere are fired from their jobs here. Evidence of one that wanted her students to call groomers MAPS. "Para fuera vieja loca". Out you crazy old woman.

El Paso has its own set of challenges. Right across the border is Juarez.

Most of it stays there for some reason because we're still very low in the homicide rate. I think those Mexicans know that they can't do what they want here because they will be caught. Not long ago a couple from EP were gunned down in Juarez and eventually they were brought to justice to EP.

Maybe it's a good thing that the perception is of an unruly city when it's just the opposite. I could walk in any neighborhood at night without fear. The fear of Juarez gangs is actually making us safer as those criminals from other cities don't make us another Chicago. Albuquerque is more violent than us still.
