Big moment for an Ohio school today
UC officially became a member of the Big 12 conference. That being said, and with the Redhawks playing the Bearcats every season, I wonder if they would do a home and home series with another MAC school, that being the Rockets ? For the Rockets this could be an bonanza. I do think the Rockets could compete with them on the field, if not in football but maybe playing them in basketball as well.

Wbb is as far as theyll go. But a 2 for 1, if one of the 2 is at Paul Brown would be fair I think. I think we would beat them in year 1 of Coach Sat for what it's worth. But you know we will get a Big12 Championship year, as every P5 we get wins 10 games the seasons we play em. Mizzou x2, Kentucky was coming off a huge year, ND, Ohio State etc. Probably Illinois and Maryland coming up too.

Good for them...... rather focus on UT.

UC will dip for a while when entering Big 12 play in both basketball and football but eventually will rebound.

Go Rockets! Ut is enjoying success at all levels of sports so let's enjoy and look to future and help UT elevate.

Staying at the top of the MAC is essential. The problem is the MAC needs to improve its performance outside of the Conference over 5 years so there is some consistency. The MAC is only as strong as it weakest programs. Really need some dynamic leadership on the Conference and Institutional levels.

Cincinnati will continue to duck the Rockets because there’s simply no upside for them unless they wish to keep their sports $$$ in state. The good news in their jumping conferences is that they’ll no longer be an impediment to UT examining a move to the AAC, not that I believe that is under consideration or likely, but it would be one of the best (only?) options if Toledo wishes step up, although I have no idea from where the $$$ would come.

Depending what will take place in the next 2 years, I believe this that the Big 12 stronger teams, outside of UC, will jump ship and join bigger and better leagues. Money talks.

Neither of the two better leagues from a financial standpoint want any of the Big 12 teams...theyre probably safe.

Having said that, this has very little to do with UT, probably don't need to discuss much more.

That’s already occurred. And will continue.

As of right now, Cincinnati is scheduled to play at OHIO in football on 9/12/2026. This is a return game for when we went there in 2018. Of course, a lot can change between now and then with scheduling, but for now, it's still on.

With the Big 12 doing 9 conference games that is almost certainly getting bought out.
