While I certainly understand and support the marketing effort to increase ticket sales, how is this fair to those who are not in this area code (including 815 itself!)? I understand the marketing area, but they have shut out 312 and 773 (Chicago), 847 (north and northwest suburbs, and 708 (south and southwest suburbs). And many within these have other area codes. Will they have the same deal on July 8 for those in the 708 area code, and August 15 for those in the 815 area code? And what about those in poor Chicago? It's a cute idea, and I love the marketing pitch, but this may certainly alienate some. Anyway, those of you with a 630 area code should queue up for the big savings!

I have tried dialing the ticket office several times today at the phone number listed on the 20% off email. I keep getting a recording that says `the number you have dialed is not in service at this time.”’

The other thing is they keep decentivizing buying season tickets early.

They already run promos during the season for cheaper single game tickets. Buying season tickets early just ends up costing you more than the people who don't buy and wait until game week or they run promos like this.

Needless to say, I need to stop re-upping early.

I always get excited and re-up early because when it all comes out I am so pumped about anything NIU football. To me, I pretty much know that buying the season tickets early is not the best financial decision, but the value is still so high from the cost to my enjoyment it never bothers me.

Go Huskies... I cannot wait for the BC game, hoping for a big turnaround season.

Anything Huskies Athletics tries to do to sell more tickets is fine with me.

You forgot to dial with the area code

When is 419 and 567 area code days? These are the area codes that the top recruited football players in the MAC and most likely all of college football hope to get a call from!

+1. I can only hope this type of promo gained a few new season ticket holders. Don’t mind paying more at all for what is already cheap priced tickets compared to other colleges.

I don’t care how they increase attendance. I’ll enjoy my season tickets more with 15-24K around me.

Amen. Any type of promo to sell more tickets is a win. they need to do more of these. They need to market the football program better. It's all possible. They just need to ACT. Either way, I'll be at every damn game this fall!! CANT WAIT

Did anyone on here use this promo? How many extra tickets do we really think a one-day sale helped sell?

My guess is the amount was minimal since most of us who wanted season tickets probably already paid for them.
