Or, would they rather keep 03-banghead until it is too late?

The ever-accurate Swaim, on 6/8, said 'So my Denver guy tells me the #Buffs are "delaying, due to three holdouts on the board" that are "the academic snob types you’ve talked about", but he also believes strongly that they'll get it worked out before July 1st and that "Arizona just waiting on CU confirmation."'

If accurate, I wonder which are the three foot-draggers?

If true (with a HUGE if), 3 really stick out with their academic histories as likely opposing. Wellesley grad, UCSB grad, and the one with professional ties to California.
Interestingly, but probably of no consequence, another one is a Houston grad.

The unequal revenue sharing has to do with earning extra units in post season play. Those that earn them keep a bigger share. Gonzaga has a similar deal in the WCC.

I mean, I reckon Oregon would be considered one of the top programs left, but back 4-5 seasons ago (pre-Christobal) they had a horrible season - thus no contribution to the 'post-season' (they MAY have made a small bowl)...

That is what I have heard. Not good to relegate some schools to second class status in perpetuity. This creates incentive for schools to try to reach the postseason and is completely fair to all involved. SDSU just earned the MWC $11M from their run this March that they will never see a dime of.

That is why Boise State got the deal to have their own rights to sell their home games to the highest bidder which made them more money than the rest of the MWC. Then MWC did what they did to them, and Boise State wants out of the MWC. MWC did them dirty. Without Boise State in the conference? They could wind up only making like a C-USA media deal.

I believe non of the board in CU will vote to move back to Big 12. They want to be with their academic peers than be in the cast of the Misfits that you have in the Big 12. Same with Arizona.

And this goes back to 2011. He’s been an inside joke on message boards all over for 12 years now.

There truly isn’t anyone lower than him.

Recently, the Baylor Sicem 365 board was threatening to make posting Swaim tweets a bannable offense, LOL.

Not exactly. The Mountain West sells the Boise games as a separate package, but the revenue goes to the MWC. Separately, Boise STate gets extra revenue. Originally, this was by a formula that rewarded national TV appearances, which Boise was pretty much guaranteed 6 of. In the 2020 or so contract, Boise just gets an extra $1.8M per year.

MHVer3 gives him a run for the money, however.

David, I have to think Boise's chances of ever receiving an invitation to the Big XII have to be at least somewhat lower now. You know, even misfits have feelings.

Not lately; he's been very quiet. Must have lost his source?

Months ago he was saying the "4 corner" schools to the B12 would happen that week.

This is all a matter of how you spin it. By B12 PR standards, staying flat after losing two powerhouse member schools is 'hitting all home runs.'

PAC schools, barring individual P2 call-ups, want to stay together. They need enough revenue to enable that. We'll see soon if that's forthcoming.

PAC schools also need conference rules that make it pretty easy to exit 5-6 years from now if a P2 call comes. We can be sure that detail is already taken care of. Let's not overlook its importance.
