Meaningless projection.
However, what isn't meaningless is the changing perception of JMU men's basketball. Even in the CAA I can't remember the last time we were projected in the off season as the AQ.
I am not concerned about this team getting a big head, so I am fine with them using this as motivation and even more of a confidence builder that they need to now prove they are the best in the Sun Belt.

I was thinking it was not only men's basketball breaking through the perception of lost cause, but probably a lot of the JMU brand being strong across all sports. On a meaningless projection such as this, what more do you have to go on besides "gut" in a lot of cases in making a preseason prediction. I think the JMU brand across all sports (lacrosse, softball, football, etc.) has to effect our ranking as the aq in this bracket. Rising tide....All boats....
