Predict their Record: MTSU
9/2 @Alabama
9/9 @Missouri
9/16 vs Murray St
9/23 vs Colorado St
9/28 @WKU
10/4 vs JSU
10/10 vs LA Tech
10/17 @Liberty
11/4 @NMSU
11/11 vs FIU
11/18 vs UTEP
11/25 @SHSU
I saw this on the SBC forum and enjoyed the votes so I’ll start putting up other schools too. I’m going with 6-6.

RE: Predict their Record: MTSU
If we go 7-5 or better, McPhee and Massaro will give Ole Stock a raise and another extension. If he goes 6-6 and gets a bowl bid same result. Pretty low bar at Middle. So we'll probably go 6-6. After all, we've set a STANDARD.

7-5. I want to say 8-4 but feel they will blow some unexpected game against someone.

And another Bahamas Bowl for "king" McPhee and his court.

6-6 seems about right

Consensus is likely a 7-5 or 6-6 finish. Thanks for the votes. It’s interesting to see what everyone thinks.

RE: Predict their Record: MTSU
In an era of ever-changing dynamics in the college football world, MTSU remains the only constant. They will gain no more than 8 wins, and no less than 6 even with a re-arranged Conference-USA schedule. Knowing how this team operates, they may do the unthinkable. They could beat Missouri on the road and then lose to a bunch of teams they shouldn't lose to. 7-5 or 6-6 sounds right.
Now that I have said this, watch MTSU go 11-3.

In Stock's 16 full schedule seasons in Murfreesboro he's gone over eight wins once and under six wins four times, but three of the under and the one over all came within his first six seasons, so nine out of the last ten have been in that range.

And........... as "predictable" as we are for a season as whole, we may be the most "unpredictable" game-to-game

I’m excited to see the newbies try to figure out if they think they will win or lose to MT. We have no clue so I’m sure there will be some salty fans (probably Liberty at some point) and some really happy fans. You just never know what will happen with our team but we will finish around 6-6.

My response is a joke because I'm horrible at season predictions. I don't realistically see it happening. MTSU will end the season 6-7, 7-6, or 8-5. However, you have to wonder: If Stockstill's squad won a championship and ended the season with that record, would he be allowed to remain at the helm for as long as he wants?

I think he's here until at least the end of 2026, when king McPhee supposedly is retiring

Stock doesn't even have to win a championship to "remain at the helm as long as he wants!" He will be here at least as long as McPhee is Pres. and Massaro is AD.
