Tulane announcers
They had a few things to say about their experience and it wasn't good.

Mentioned that they had to do the broadcast on their cell phones because the ethernet wasn't working.

Also, our statracker was not working.

Also, question our dedication to gaining P5 status because we have so few games on ESPN+

May have been a little feisty in the way they talked about it.

But if true these are issues that need to be addressed.

RE: Tulane announcers
They aren’t wrong. We’ve made some improvements but we’re still well behind most CUSA & Sun Belt programs in terms of baseball facilities. Every game we play should be in ESPN+ but I don’t think we have the infrastructure in place to consistently handle it. I’m sure there’s costs involved too. That being said, I’ve been able to watch a good friend play every game in the Sun Belt. Same was true with a former teammate who was at La Tech in CUSA.

I would think media infrastructure would be the next step at Fed EX Field.

Would love to see every home game on ESPN+.

My understanding is many more baseball facility upgrades are coming? Anyone have a good update on exactly what's coming?

The Tiger baseball facility is also really small. Especially compared to Tulane's. There needs to be some more basic improvements made soon. Poor network service is ridiculous. I know some good progress has been made but it sounds like more definitely needs to take place. The visitor dugout needs work and expansion, at least it did the last time I was out there. On a positive note, the Tigers had a pretty decent year and I hope they can make some noise in the AAC tournament.

So, if we have to choose where money earmarked for facilities is invested, it looks like the pecking order is basketball, football, then baseball.

I'm sure there is an endless list of needs for those three and we haven't even gotten to any other sport.

For actual training and prep I'd bet we can make do with what we have but for recruiting and retention - bringing in talent - that is where not having all the bells and whistles hurts.

Also, UCF, Cincy, and Houston got immediate recruiting bumps once the B12 announcement was made - as we all know conference affiliation is big.

We could probably pick one sport to focus on and overcome all that but if you spread limited resources too far then you become the jack of all trades; master of none.

The pecking order "should" be football, football, & football.

But, it won't be and in 20 years we'll all be sitting around wondering why we are G5 in basketball and D2 in football.
