(Speculation) On the ESPN Streaming
My speculation on how ESPN moves from cable to streaming is Disney's ownership in DraftKings and how gambling is going to steer this industry.

The advertisements during sporting events are already becoming unbearable. Studio members also talk about sports gambling.

Imagine a streaming app that lets viewers make bets during any phase of the game.

Could Disney "give away" the sporting product to get you to watch the games? -To engage with the games? -To pay for the events?

Big screens provide plenty of real estate to place gambling ads on coin flips, plays, field goals, personal stats, etc...

Imagine upgrades like 1080p to 4K to 8K?
Imagine exclusive insights for participants who gamble.

Think like a casino and use your imagination. How do you profitably pay for content?

The answer is not by selling Bud Light ads.
