Um, no. "intents and purposes" is correct. It is used, especially in legal context, as "essentially" or "in effect". "Intents" is important because it renders any considerations can not alter the outcome so any effort at shaping & raising the issue again is moot. My wife states she cannot find maternity clothes and other items, but plenty of "tuckable" swimwear exists. Honestly, it is not much of a sacrifice to shop elsewhere.

Cause our big group camped down by the beach last weekend to go deep sea fishing. We brought enough camping gear that we were able to fit all in tents. And, porpoises!
