UC's new IPF coming in 2024/2025
The University of Cincinnati Athletics Department and the UC Foundation are set to break ground on a multi-million-dollar Indoor Practice Facility and Performance Center on May 23. The project, spearheaded by a record-breaking donation from Larry and Rhonda Sheakley, aims to enhance the student-athlete experience. The 84,000-square-foot facility, to be completed by the 2024 football season, will feature a 120-yard football field and be used by other UC programs. The 96,000-square-foot Performance Center, scheduled to open before the 2025 football season, will include offices, nutrition stations, a dining hall, weight room, training room, and mental health services. Over $88 million has been raised for the Day One Ready Campaign, which funds this project and others. Gensler and MSA Sport are the project's architects, and Messer Construction is the construction manager.
The new facility will become the daily hub for Cincinnati football.
Eye-catching Entrance: The football training center will boast a striking entrance designed to impress recruits and fans alike.
Team Locker Room & Meeting Spaces: Cincinnati’s football team will enjoy the convenience of being situated next to its practice field, maximizing efficiency.
State-of-the-Art Weight Room: The facility will include a cutting-edge strength and conditioning area, located adjacent to the indoor practice facility.
Coaches' Offices & Player Zones: Designed to facilitate more face-to-face interactions, the spaces allocated for Bearcats football coaches and staff will feature dedicated team and lounge areas that appeal to both players and recruits.
Advanced Sports Medicine and Training: Cincinnati's sports medicine staff will have access to top-notch resources for treating student-athletes, ensuring their health and growth.
Serving all UC Student-Athletes: The performance and nutrition center will cater to all student-athletes, offering a dining hall, lounge, and outdoor activities and amenities.https://gobearcats.com/sports/2023/5/10/indoor-practice-facility-and-performance-center.aspx

Key stat here though is breaking ground May 23… that gets this facility in under the wire and as long as dirt is turned by June 30 it’ll always have a little AAC in it!
