Maybe. I think that he was looking for a bigger stage than UAB.

Mike would have been fine to stay a while longer. The BOT wanted him gone and the wife was pushing to move. That said we would have lost him to Arkansas when it came open. That was his dream job. When he finally went to Arkansas he inherited a mess, refused to "cheat" and play the ugly politics. He had some injuries that also didn't help. Even though the BOT has changed I don't think he would ever come back here because of the bad blood with them.
