APR Results In: Rice is a nerd school

Eleven of our 14 teams reported a perfect year (all student-athletes made adequate progress towards graduation). Eight of those teams have been perfect for four consecutive years or longer:
  • men's cross country (11 years)
  • golf
  • men's tennis
  • women's basketball
  • women's cross country (19 years; every year that the data has been published)
  • swimming
  • women's tennis
  • volleyball (12 years)
The three teams that were perfect this year but stumbled one of the prior three years are: soccer, men's basketball, and men's track.

For my own curiosity, I found that football is tied for 15th in FBS and 23rd in all of D-I football. Baseball is tied for 75th. Data here: https://web3.ncaa.org/aprsearch/aprsearch
