It's that time of the year again. Do we have any former Huskies trying to make a squad as an undrafted free agent?

Would have thought Cole Tucker could have atleast had a minicamp tryout but he still hasn’t been signed or invited as of yet

I thought I read somewhere that his numbers were not impressive (particularly speed). In any event, fingers crossed for Cole I really hope he lands somewhere.

Cole was at the spring scrimmage hanging out in the Yordon Center. It was good to see he still around the program even though his college career is over.

CFL draft is next week. May 2. Cole is listed in their “Top 5 players at each position”

Barker: This guy is a football player. He is not overly fast or exceptionally quick but he is 'fast enough' and 'quick enough'. He has a great understanding of the game and just gets open and has very reliable hands; he is also a returner that can get you through the game.”

A Canadian citizen thanks to his Brandon, Man.-born mother, Tucker is a reliable possession receiver with five years of production at the Division I level. Direct reflection on THs recruiting. If he doesn’t see that as a red flag he’s blind. Needs to change. NIU was having atleast one drafted each season for a while and then multiples signed as UDFAs

To be fair this wouldnt even be the first season any Hammock players would be drafted. 2020 is his first full class and that had Rudolph, Rayner, Rogers, Waylee, Thomas and Ducker. With the Covid year these guys all have a couple years eligibility left.

No one was drafted from Carey’s ‘17, ‘18, or partial ‘19 class. Cox is probably the best chance next year.

I would assume the talent coming is about equal then it is all about up coaching the players.
