Coaching during offseason?
After Spring camp and up to the open of Fall camp how closely can coaches be to players? I assume they have a workout & fitness program (“optional” of course), but that would imply oversight from strength & conditioning coaches as well as nutritionists. Then there’s daily therapy/rehab/recovery…

As good of a staff that Dilfer has assembled, retaining Lyle Henley was his best hire. Some of our players would not be here if not for him being kept on!

Truth. But how closely are the coaches allowed to get to, say, position or speed drills.

We hired coaches who came from SEC and B1G programs. I suspect that they know exactly how far that line can be pushed..

I wasn’t/aren’t concerned about the staff. It was more of a general question.

Good question. In the distant past, there was basically no allowable coaching from anybody other than the S&C staff.
Around a decade ago, they allowed position coaches to have 8 hours per week. No idea if that’s been updated since

From what I remember, there was no coaching for any on field activities except for strength and conditioning.
As I recall any film was optional.
