Junior Sofiya Sedovich completed a Cougars comeback, staving off four match points trailing love-40 and down 5-3 in the third set to pull out a 7-5 win in the deciding match to deliver the Cougars to the Horizon League semifinals with a 4-3 win over Oakland Friday at the Varsity Tennis Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

In the semi finals, Chicago State will face Cleveland State. The Cougars were defeated by Cleveland 3-4 in their conference regular season matchup 3 weeks ago. Since then, Chicago State has won 4 straight. Chicago State finished 4-2 in the league and 3rd in the standings.

The Cougars fell to Cleveland State 4-2, and did not make the Horizon League tournament finals.
