For those that don’t recognize the name, this is the young lady from Tennessee, who was at a volleyball tournament in St. Louis this year when she was hit by a car driven by a parolee who cut his ankle bracelet off. Her legs were crushed and had to be amputated.

She was originally planning on playing college volleyball at Tennessee Southern in Pulaski. An offer from MTSU came to be a manager for them and she accepted. I believe she said it was closer to home for her.

It’s barely CUSA sports related, but it’s a story that’s made a lot of headlines. I hope she can enjoy being around the sport she loves and that everyone on the court for any team appreciates all they have. I’m hoping she in an inspiration to many people.

I wish her well at Middle Tennessee, and bravo to MTSU for supporting her.
