Only McBride and Sterling have a chance of being drafted IMO. I am hoping Telfort sneaks in

I hate they included "been around" because you could have been a water boy or videographer for Bama, Ohio State, or Georgia and "been around" top draft picks, but either way let's just hope the coaching experience translates to our team this year.

This is why I don’t retweet draft stuff unless we have a pick or a UDFA. Have no issue with mac’s post. F..k off and develop your own players

They could have worded it a little different and *maybe* been spared some heat. How about:
Coaches on our staff have ties to 11 of last night’s 1st round picks”
Just sounds both more accurate and less cheesy, I think.

Yea that came off very cheesy and desperate.
Do they not have someone higher up to monitor or edit the social media posts?
I just feel like any of the coaches would not have approved that wording.
We are getting laughed at about that on social media.

Welp, we've officially lost the draft. Troy got a draft pick before we did.
Now, Troy's defense was great this year...but their Center was just chosen 107.
I've also noticed it took all the way to R3 for Tulane - the first G5 school to be taken. However, people were saying because of the transfer portal, a lot of First and Second rounders were G5 last year but played P5 for this past year. I assume it will continue like this for a while now.
Let's hope Debo gets picked this morning.

Texas now has 2 RBs taken before Debo. I honestly didn't realize they had another RB besides Bijan that was in the draft.

RE: 2023 NFL Draft Big Board: Top 500 Prospect Rankings & Player Comps
Things to consider: many times we played teams near dead last in rush defense coming into the game. Fumbles. Not much pass blocking on film, Brown came in for that. Was never used as a receiver. We also were very bad in goal line offense. Even if that’s an Oline issue, he’s still not punching it in.
That offense, while it made him the workhorse, gave him no opportunity to show his versatility.
I begin to wonder how well his private workout went.
I still expect him to get drafted, but I always knew he was a 3rd day guy.

I can’t find the numbers, but I don’t recall him having issues punching it in. In fact, once we got inside the 5, it felt like the only thing that could stop us was him fumbling. Maybe I remember wrong.
Everything else you said is legit. He does not have breakaway speed in the NFL, isn’t even an adequate pass catcher, isn’t a good run blocker, and fumbled too often. Of course he has a ton of strengths as well, but he is going to play a specific role in the NfL, and that will hold him back some.

I may be pointing the finger at the wrong guy, but we were 112th in redzone O. Many times he fumbled in that area. He was solid in that situation overall in his career, but again, consider the competition.

Debo fumbled too much. DC's noticed and emphasized stripping him, punching at the ball or putting a helmet on it, and he fumbled more. He didn't catch passes out of the backfield. He wasn't asked to, but he just caught two passes last season. He also didn't block very well.
NFL scouts see this.
I hope he does really well for the Vikings and that they can coach up his weaker areas. Lord knows the man can run the ball and move the pile forward.

We say Debo fumbles too much but that needs to be taken in context. He was tagged with 4 or 5 fumbles (depending on the source) this past season. That occurred in 233 attempts. According to this site no other RB had even close to that many attempts, a product of the previous offense. By far, QBs are the leaders in the clubhouse in fumbles.

Deebos fumbles seemed to come in bunches. He'd have games with 2 or 3 and then none for most of the season. I wouldn't say it was a HUGE issue but definitely a weak spot for an otherwise excellent player.
The previous offense did nothing to show his versatility either, since they basically never threw to the running back or always brought in Skull to be the receiving back. I think he could've been a dynamic receiving back, given how good he is in the open field and breaking tackles.
The pass blocking stuff I can't say much about, but hopefully it can be coached into his game.

Would you say his fumbles were a large part of two of our losses last year?

His fumbles against liberty 100% contributed to that loss in a big way.
Some people in here can’t take valid criticisms of our players.
Especially Memphis blazer. We live in his head rent free. He can criticize all he wants but as soon as someone else says something we’re a bad, terrible, horrible fan and person LOL
