From his top 6 I'd be shocked if he is clears less than 75k in NIL money this season. He has his degree, hard to turn down that kind of money and a chance at greater exposure.

These are the kinds of signings that get me really excited. There's tons of talent out there at the lower levels if we've got a staff willing to look for it. P5 schools think it's too big of a risk, so they won't touch them, and it leaves schools like UAB in a prime spot to snag them. One of the best guards in the NFL this past decade played college at D3 Hobart, the talent is there if we hunt for it.

I would have been more excited about grabbing a Big 10 OL when it was Bill Clark's offense. I don't want to over generalize, but I think Dilfer want mobile pass blockers more than big road graders.

I think he wants both. Since he's been here, we've signed Jordan Hall (335), Nettles (325), Townsend (305), and got a commitment from the big OG from South Dakota. We've also signed the 2 leaner, faster HS OL from the far west.

I agree. Dilfer has repeatedly said our running game has been a strength and he isn’t going to abandon that. We are going to see different units out there based on what we want to do at a given time.

Though I'd say I'm much more into UAB than my Alma Mater, I do still watch their games. TJ Finley is bad bad. He has great size though, so if CTD sees something & can simplify the offense for him then there's a chance to make him productive. Either way I wish the best for the kid because he was thrown into a bad situation at Auburn.

Finley definitely needs a new start somewhere. Auburn wasn’t the right place for him for sure.

I don’t expect Dilfer’s offense to be simple, and I don’t expect Finley to change that much overnight. He needs a new start, I hope we don’t get involved there though.

I see him at an FCS school.
