Which sport will have had the best maiden voyage?
Men's basketball tied for 8th
Men's cross country 5th
Men's indoor track 2nd
Women's basketball 1st
Women's cross country 5th
Soccer 6th
Women's indoor track 2nd
Volleyball 9th

Baseball, outdoor track and golf yet to come

I guess I'm hoping it will be baseball since that would mean an NCAA tournament bid. I'm starting to believe it is not a farfetched possibility.

I agree that Baseball making the NCAAs is not far fetched at all. But like women’s basketball, we’d have to win the OVC Tournament. As far as where they stack up in maiden voyages, where volleyball (9th) and men’s basketball (really 9th since we failed to qualify for the tournament) ended up speak for themselves, and it’s not good! Everybody else was at least respectable. Don’t know about outdoor track, but golf is likely to end up with a decent finish too!

Right now, golf and track appear to be the sports with momentum.
