If he didn’t want to be here, I’m glad he’s at a place better suited for him.

Noah's at Seton Hall.

Thanks Frank for the confirmation!!

I will view this as Stan’s biggest botching in EMUs basketball history. When you have a proven 5 star player as Noah averaging 16 ppg as a covid19 freshman and ask him to play the 3rd option the next season for two lesser players it’s baffling. Obviously I am speculating and don’t know the details but what I saw last year sure looked to me that Noah was moved off the ball for Acuff and then the mistake exacerbated by Acuff - Emoni playing the 1st and 2nd option on offense.

At any rate, I’m very happy that Noah will get a chance to play close to home!! From my perspective, Noah was the most talented guard we had since Boykins, Dial and Tolbert. I will be rooting for Noah and Seton Hall!!

That may not be true regarding PG and 3rd option. I think for much of the season the shots were almost equally distributed between Emoni and Noah. And TyCuff was a third option and probably assigned as primary PG to distribute to the other 2 options. Things fell apart for the team quickly, and resulted in TyCuff and Emoni starting to take more shots after the mid way point of the season for whatever reason- if I am remembering things correctly.

I do agree that Noah is the best guard EMU had since Boykins, Dial, and Tolbert.. It is unfortunate we lost him. But you can NOT blame it on anything Coach Heath did or botched. In my mind, Coach Heath made it possible for both Emoni to get drafted in the NBA and for Noah to transfer up. Noah would not have achieved that after his first year at ECU nor would Emoni after his first year at Memphis. I will continue to celebrate both players and hope they perform well in their futures. And I assume they will both value their time at EMU.

What Coach Heath botched was the losing record(s). But there is still talent on this team in various stages of development that I think Coach Heath will be able to achieve success with- given he adjusts his approach and schemes of course. TyCuff and Lovejoy are still an impressive backcourt, and some (Sam/Bovine) really liked Rice in the past. So I am excited about EMU’s future as well!

You can help your players become pros and win at the same time. Coach Creighton has proven that. Stan Heath has not.

Luckeyone, you nailed it as Acuff should have taken many of Emoni's 2 and 3-point shots.and Noah many of Emoni's 2-point shots.

Lucky and Miggy both of your posts were spot on! It's ashame that Heath took arguably the most talented guard since since Dials and Boykins, and completely didn't use his talents effectively! If I was Noah, I'd have transferred as well! Happy 4th of July everyone! Watch the Michigan game again, against 2 top 15 picks, Noah blew right by them on so many occasions!

Heck of a first game! EMU led Michigan the whole game till the very end.

EMU did the same thing the year before when playing Indiana on the road, Noah led EM back by scoring 18-points in the second half. EMU outscored Indiana by 11-points in the second half.
