They are coming here with a chip on their shoulders. No reason not to come here unless Penny left or we were on probation. If they wanted to go to SDSU they would have done so.

I think they can ask the University to release them from the LOI. Isn't that what happened with Lomx and Wichita State?

Good points by everyone. I guess I keep looking at the recruit rankings and see “committed” and “signed” and think they still mean something. They should change those headings to “maybe” and “probably”. With all the rule changes it’s kind of hard to keep up.

You've asked this same question several times over the last few weeks across multiple threads.

I think the real question is, do YOU know something that we don't?

I'm guessing you've kind of adopted SDSU as a second team, which would be perfectly understandable, if you're living in that area.

This is just a what/if scenario type question and others have made some good points ... even though a player is committed, he could "open" it up by asking coach/university to allow for his release. Just wondering if those local players saw what SDSU did in the tourney and just thinking "What if?" ...

also, no, I am a fan of one sports team, in each sport. Pro, collegiate, etc. ... now, would I root for a team because of something (location, ex-college player on that team, etc.) - sure.

But yea, the point of this thread was to just ponder ... pondering is good y'all!
