Alabama & North Dakota St schedule home-and-home
http://ndsuspectrum.com/north-dakota-sta...t-alabama/

Per a report, NDSU plays in Tuscaloosa in November 2025 while Saban brings the Crimson Tide to the Fargodome in September 2026.

Barring Saban knowing about an impending FBS jump, this will be the first FBS @ FCS game since 2014.

I think this is an elaborate April Fools' joke. Only way I would have believed it is if it were for basketball, baseball, or lacrosse.

Check the date. The student newspaper(The Spectrum) always prints an April Fools edition renamed The Rectum.

On a side note, how often does Alabama play non conference road games that arent neutral sites ?

Shocking yet fantastic news.

Wonder if Saban will still be Alabama coach by then. Isn't he at least 70 already? (Even though he only looks to be 55-60ish.)

When was the last time an SEC team played at an FCS team? Has that ever happened before?

Heck, when was the last time that even an ACC team did that? I know the ACC plays a lot of games at G5 schools, but I don't remember an ACC team ever playing at an FCS opponent's stadium.

They played at Texas in 2022. I'm not sure if the return trip to Tuscaloosa will ever end up happening due to Texas' move to the SEC in 2024. (I forget if Alabama and Texas are playing this year or if the return trip was supposed to be in 2024 or 2025.)

I guess that would mean that Alabama's first SEC game vs Texas would be in Tuscaloosa, but that would still result in Alabama being screwed out of a home game because it would mean that Alabama would lose a home game against another SEC team that year.

It seems like Bama has shifted to more of a H&H schedule, as opposed to neutral sites.

They played at Texas last year, and are playing at South Florida this year, though it does help that USF plays in an NFL stadium.

Next year they play at Wisconsin, in 2025 they play at FSU, 2026 @ West Virginia, 2027 @ Ohio State, 2028 @ Oklahoma State, and 2029 @ Notre Dame.

They have an OOC road game scheduled every year through 2034, per FBS Schedules.

Another D1 school has changed its nickname as Illinois State is retiring "Redbirds" to go back to their roots.

He was born 10/31/51. Bama is at West Virginia in 2027. That is his home state so I suspect he will at least stay through that season.
