Also it may be a bit of TV-first mentality ... easier to separate the NIU game out from the Saturday masses. Maybe doesn't do live attendance much good, but hey, priorities. Hard to strike a "happy medium" of attendance and TV, so which do you choose?

Per the change from @ WF to $700,000 for @ Arizona ... what was the cash involved for the WF 2-for-1?

I agree, and this shows how warped their judgment is. As with the EIU game last year, they think the entire country is busting at the seams to watch a game of NIU vs. a state FCS school on ESPN+.

Yes, admin. loves to move these types of games to weeknights. I guess in their mind it makes the game seem more important.

What is the precedence for this comment?

I dont know if you're inferring this or not, but playing AZ in Tuscon (which usually means a late night game) would probably have a good chance of it being televised on ESPN, The Duece or ESPNU. Maybe that is why STF took a smaller guarantee in hopes of a national broadcast.

Exactly, EIU was on Labor Day. Please show me one NIU game that was changed to a weekday after scheduled that was not the first game and did not involve some unusual circumstance.

Per today's Board notes, $170K was authorized by NIU board per Athletics request to buy out remaining Wake Forest game. Obligations to visit Wake Forest are over. Consider the contract complete.

Spend $170K to get game out of the game and get $700K and better destination and TV opportunity in Arizona.

Would like to have seen more $$$ from Arizona or another player but this transaction still nets out $530K to a program that needs cash.

Thank you. That answers my question, and I hope that of others.
