According to KGW, the employees at the Beaverton, Bend and Tualatin locations were informed Monday that the stores were closing, effective immediately.

The only remaining Cracker Barrel locations remains open in Medford in Southern Oregon.

Cracker Barrel said in a statement, "As a standard course of business, we continually evaluate the performance of our stores, using various criteria to ensure we are meeting the needs of our guests and our business.

"With that, we are saddened that we have been unable to overcome the impact the pandemic had on our business and have made the difficult decision to close the Beaverton, Tualatin, and Bend locations. The decision to close a store is never one we take lightly, and our focus right now is in assisting our impacted employees during this transition."

“We extend our sincere thanks to our employees who worked so hard to keep our fireplace glowing and to the guests who have dined with us, celebrated with us, and made us part of their community. We look forward to reconnecting with them at other times at nearby Cracker Barrels in the future.”

Cracker Barrel closed its Jantzen Beach location in August 2022. At the time, the chain said the location wasn't meeting unspecified evaluation criteria to meet "the needs of our guests and our business," but employees told KGW they were told the store closed due to security issues.

The insane political leadership combined with the Antifa crowd in Portland provides a superb "one / two" punch of making sure businesses get run out of town! Few cities are more deserving of businesses closing up and VACATING.

Zero sympathy; I hope the entire city collapses due to almost zero employment opportunities at some point.

Misleading headline.

Beaverton and Tualatin are suburbs far away from the Portland mess. Nike world headquarters is in Beaverton and the Blazer's practice facility is in Tualatin. Bend is on the other side of the Cascade mountains, more than 150 miles from Portland. Jantzen beach is on the Columbia River in between Portland and Vancouver - but that location already closed.

And, the statement from Cracker Barrell sites the impact of the pandemic and poor performance.

Crime and shoplifting speculation makes sense for the Walmart announcement; Walmart's locations that are closing are actually in the city of Portland near the mess and Walmart is keeping open about 15 locations in the Portland-area suburbs.

Cracker Barrel & WalMart are not exactly great concepts for Portland Oregon. Kinda like putting a Starbucks in Potts Camp.

When the largest retailer in the world finds a way to remove operation in an area because of crime, it’s a huge deal.
