I have no inside info. But, if Grant moves on, I would expect Ross Hodge to be offered the UNT job. He has been with Grant for many years and is also responsible for a lot of their recent success IMO. I don't think they would miss a beat and would still preach defense.

Hodge is more than ready for a HC job. The question is whether or not he chooses to stay with Grant.

tech has to wait a bit longer

As a UAB fan I hope he tells them to pound sand. The grass isn’t always greener. Keep building a winner in the AAC.

And he would have to live in Lubbock. Ever been to Lubbock, Tx? In the middle nowhere and far from everywhere. No thanks.

North Texans heard the same thing last year when SMU tried and failed to hire him.

Hopefully Grant will be at North Texas for a long time .... and Rob Lanier will be at SMU for a long, long, long, time.
