Wish we had him back. He was an intimidating shot blocker with incredible speed and athletic ability for someone as tall and long as he is. He needs to gain some weight and have someone work with him on both offense and defense. I think an off-season of work would have made a big difference in his game, even though he played pretty well in a few games this season already. You can teach BB game strategy - players of his size and athletic ability aren’t that common, however.

I wonder why Penny wouldn't take a chance on him in that situation? I guess he thought he would be risking a foul anyway. Good luck to Kao. Announcers were just beginning to pronounce his name.

I thought Kao was a senior anyway.. He sure had potential, but he probably got too many people whispering on his ear.

Good for him! Penny wasnt playing him. Not sure how much of that was on Penny.. but hes not going to get any better being underused by Penny

Figure its for the Harlem Globetrotters or something similar, right? Even for international play I think he's too raw.

Good luck to him. I love Penny but I felt like he did a poor job of utilizing him. Reminded me some of the Minot situation last season

I was saying at the time... when we went into the weak part of our schedule, right before conference play.. Penny should have given him and Lawson as many minutes as possible to acclimate them and hopefully see some growth. It was also really odd in the games Penny would play him in the first half, and he would play decent to well, he would get buried on the bench in the 2nd half. I never understood why that would happen. Overall though, Kao didnt perform up to expectations I would say.
