Ryan Forrest
D. Tubek
Jayden Hardaway

Not sure about Malcomb or Kennedy but hopeful…

That lineup has Dandridge as the only “true” big. With his injury history, I’m certain Penny will be looking for another big man or two. So either his 2 kids are walk-ons, some are not coming back, or some will be red-shirted.

Recruits
Mikey Williams (5 star) (6-2 Combo Guard) (signed)
Ty-Laur Johnson (4 star) (6-0 PG) (hard commit)
JJ Taylor (4 star) (4 star) (6-7 SF) (signed)
Ashton Hardaway (4 star) (6-7 PF) (signed)
Carl Cherenfant (4 star) (6-5 SF) (signed)
Ryan Forrest (3 star) (6-3 SG) (signed)
David Tubek (3 star) (6-6 PF) (hard commit)

The above represents the 5th best rated class in D-1 and by far the best in the new AAC.

I do not know the hang up with the two players yet to sign.

My guess is not everyone returns and not everyone signs. Penny also has the option to designate his sons walk ons. Penny will be hitting the transfer market and I suspect he will do well.

We need a big and some size

With the way the roster turns over so much every year I'm not sure tournament experience will help as the starters who would benefit won't be back. Its like starting over every year...

We need multiple shooters. You know, guys you expect to make 3’s instead of being pleasantly surprised when they do.

Amen. Thank god all the guys from penny's aau teams have exhausted their eligibility.

I would also say, in general, no more Memphis kids. I've seen it play out too many times.

He is done.. I don't want him back either.. How he broke his hand SMH

He should have been the starting 2 guard the whole year and played 25-30 mins a game. Instead he watches a 5’11 PG that can’t shoot play his position. Can’t blame the kid for being frustrated

Could I please request a Chris Massie, an Omar Sneed, and a Sylvester Gray out of the transfer portal? Is thattoo much to ask for. Looking at next year's roster I'm the little old lady in the hamburger commercial. Where's the beef??

We just lost to a Florida something or other with 2 of our best and most experienced PG's unable to get across the time line.

Temple’s Khalif Battle can shoot it. He likes Penny and he’s in the transfer portal. He scored 25 against us in the game here in Memphis.

Ironic. Davis is not a true point guard, ALo should have been bringing the ball up.

Can't help but wonder if we didn't send a few of the wrong players packing. Guess we will never know.

Yeah well how did that turn out for the Tigers?

Get a true PG on the squad.

RE: Roster for next year
I’m very concerned about the roster we are bringing in.

Our most senior player (Malcolm) hasn’t demonstrated any leadership potential.

Mikey Williams has way more red flags coming in than Emoni Bates ever did. Even if you bring in a transfer veteran, Williams wants to run the show.

I have a strong feeling we are going to have a lot of drama next season

I have probably been under a rock, but what red flags have we seen……other than being a little big headed and stepping over a player after dunking on them.

My assumption/hope is he will assume KD’s lead guard role & we will have some growing pains as he acclimates to college, but once he does both him as an individual & us as a team have a great opportunity to be successful.

Without KD, Memphis would have been watching the tourney from home. Remember that....
