From what I saw, when KD went up for his 3 point shot that he turned his ankle on, Malcom had is back to the basket and was walking slowly away from the hoop, kind if like he was out for a stroll. No urgency, no positioning for a rebound, not in the moment (it looked like it to me). He was just kinda wandering around. At the time, I thought that was kinda unusual. But then again, that Malcom.

Malcolm was the most frustrating of all Tigers because he was a talented big that we desperately needed to be more than he was, yet he just seemed to go through the motions. He just looked lazy and apathetic on the court.

One had an ankle sprains and missed one game. The other missed 2 months. All I need to know right there. Notice who never came back in the game. And problem is we probably get another year of it

Makes me wonder if we were just spent emotionally. Also the Purdue loss probably hurt as well

I honestly believe that had Purdue won, we might have gotten a fairer whistle. Once Purdue lost, they love seeing 2 no name Cinderella teams play

I know that was Crappy refereeing.

But worse team play. How do the Tigers lose that game?

I hate to say it was given away. Players not willing to check their egos.

There was a clear path to the sweet sixteen and just decided to run off the road.

OMG

The longer FAU stayed close the tighter we played.

In the end we choked, no other way to describe it.

I don’t know of a position FAU was better than Memphis, but they just hung around long enough for us to eventually hand them the game. It’s frustrating, but we just have to keep hoping for the day Penny will eventually get this program back to where it should be. We’re not a blue blood, but we have to be better than 3 tournament wins in roughly 14 years.

I was very encouraged by Malcolm’s play on Friday. And he got in good shape to start the year off and played pretty well before the injury. I hope he works hard in the off season to improve even more - we will need a big body inside next year. Dorsey wasn’t actually that impressive until his last couple of years (mainly his last year, to be truthful). I hope he will work with Dandridge on the off-season.

Agree, for the most part. However, they did have a good outside shooter - Kennedy could have been ours if not for the stupid incident after the Houston loss.

We wasted effort feuding with each other on the sideline, instead of staying focused on the game in crunch time. McCadden’s poor game play (and stupid T) was a big reason for the loss.

At the beginning, there was an awful lot of standing & watching & waiting for KD to go one on one.

And a whole lot of KD just standing in the corner.

I noticed the same thing. It was odd.

Agree. Team seemed to have lost their focus and intensity from the AAC tourney.
