The difference in the game was we hit our FTs (10-12) and had only 7 turnovers.

Hayes: 10 points, 6 boards, 1 block

8 players played 16+ minutes and Swayze played 7 minutes. Gooden played only 3 minutes which would infer that she's still suffering from migraines.

Nice win. Should take away some of the sting from that UTSA loss. Gotta believe it will help the freshmen down the road.

Now we will likely play at Oregon. It appears the only two road teams to win in the first round were Rice and UCI (at San Diego State). And UC Irvine going to San Diego is not nearly as hard of a trip. If the WNIT has any sense of honor, they would allow Rice to host Oregon.

Hayes looked great. If Bellamy comes back next year, we will be dangerous next year.

We play Oregon Monday night there. May as well fly to Eugene from Provo if we can. Winner of that game gets UC Irvine at USD winner. Oregon is much tougher draw than BYU, but I absolutely hope we are in contact with WNIT letting them know we are willing and able to host the third round if it comes to that.
