FAU needs to be introduced to the business end of a South Memphis Street Beatdown. This game should be a preview of what FAU has in store once they join the AAC.

Whatever happens, been a hell of a year. After watching basketball all day yesterday, it’s striking to me both that we can play with all of these teams, and in a one game tournament it can end at any time. This year has been a success to me no matter what. Not only winning the conference, but the growth I think penny has made as a coach.

The future is bright. I think winning the conference tournament lets some pressure off the guys to just go play. Wouldn’t be shocked at all to make a run.

I will say this, I think I’m more worried about FAU than Purdue. I really hope we come out sharp. Don’t want to ply from behind while the other team is taking 30 3s.

I agree with you guys. I wanted Penny as coach, in fact, there were rumors about Penny wanting to coach when Tubby was hired and I would have taken Penny then. But, it really concerned me his first season or two when he kept saying "we are not reinventing the wheel" and basketball is basketball, etc... Yes, that is all true, but being a HC isnt just about dribbling/shooting the ball and recruiting players with the highest numbers. I think he has made leaps and bounds in the other areas and we now see a team that works with each other and gets a long.

Penny is learning. Unlike one other coach who was hard headed and didn’t want to listen to anyone

shrug...Improvement never stops ...
