WaPo article looking back at the 2013 MBB team
Just saw a great article looking back at the 2013 MBB team that won the CAA and went to the NCAA tournament. It's more about everyone's journeys since then rather than what the team did that year. Written by Mark Selig who I'm pretty sure was writing for the DNR back then.

Would love to see the article but it's behind a paywall.

That is a nice article to see “where are they now”.
It is hard to believe that it has been 10 years since JMU went to the big dance.

Here's a gift link that I think will work:

Good article, and yeah Selig covered the Dukes at that time.

Great read. What men they’ve turned out to be.

Part of the reason some of them have struggled is that Matt couldn’t manage to stay employed long enough to remain in their lives. But I don’t think Matt ever really wanted to be at JMU anyway. But some of those detours and bad life choices don’t happen with a strong alumni family around, and a stable coaching staff.

The AJ part is still such an unfortunate incident. I hope he has a strong group of friends and family around him to keep his spirits up. Selig mentioned he (AJ) plays video games nowadays…

That's an excellent article! Didn't see mentions of Charles Cooke or Andrey Semenov, both of whom played professionally. Quite a few guys from that team that did (Moore, Davis, Nation, Curry plus the two aforementioned). Terribly tragic story about Davis, one of my all-time favorite JMU players.
