WOW! I turned off the TV when they went down 4 or 5 with about 20 seconds left.

Rutgers was the first team out of the NCAAs and the #1 seed overall

Nice win for Hofstra, I hope they make a run in the NIT.

On the other hand I just can't pull for C of C. Their fans were obnoxious this year and Pat Kelsey seems like a clown, who tries just a bit too hard. They got a tough draw against SDSU. The BEST defensive team they have faced all year.

Ok State barely survived Youngstown State. Clemson fell to Morehead last night. Irvine got smoked. Id say the mids all held their own given a chance against middling powers.

Hofstra hosts their second round game on Sunday v Cincinnati. I hope they win and keep winning.

Hofstra hosts because Cincinnati closed their arena for renovations, and they could not postpone the renovations because they need to finish before graduation. I was happy Cincinnati beat Virginia Tech because Virginia Tech has Justyn Mutts. In 152 games, Mutts's only 30 point game was when he shot 14-17 for Delaware in a win at Hofstra in 2019-2020 when Hofstra won the regular season and CAA Tournament.

Cincinnati won pretty big, Hofstra never really challenged them despite being home.

If i recall they have their upper section closed off, so not sure what their actual capacity is. One would have though they would have opened it all for a game like this and tried to sell out their entire arena vs just a portion of it.

Thats not to defend them. Any team in the CAA should be selling out home games in the NIT, regardless of capacity.

Hofstra's capacity is about 3,800. A fan said students were on Spring Break. The attendance is disappointing, but that is how the New York City area is, and the northeast is the least popular region for the NCAA.
