Imagine if Bobby Knight, Larry Brown and Gene Bartow were Penny's assistant coaches.
Imagine if Elon Musk, Clint Eastwood, Michael Jordan and the Pope were all rabid and fanatical tiger boosters.

This year's team is a team. The internal dynamics within the team is strong this year---which makes each player stronger to outside negative influences.

I really believe this team with Lester would have been ranked in the top 15 and we are looking at a 3-5 seed.

Our ranking has to do with the bias of the name on the front. No names on the back change that.

Look at the disparate places these players have come from, and yet Penny sells them on his vision, and also unites them into such a TEAM within months. Penny was known as being very special as a player. Well, Penny is something special as a coach, too.

We would have won 4-6 more games with Lester on this team, thus making us a top 15 team.

He also lost Akott to WKU at the last minute.

Seems like I remember Tyler left on his own to transfer because he wasn’t happy here. Then he found the grass was not greener and approached Penny about coming back home. Penny helped him out but only allowed him back as a walk-on and only for one year. Some of the same issues remained that Penny deemed unproductive and chose to move on without him.
Wish him well but I don’t believe Tyler would have made us better at the end of the year or won more games even if he might have helped us win a couple early or while Alo was out.
Unity, defense, floor leader, is what Penny knew he needed and Tyler could only deliver 3’s…sort of. You can still like him, I do, but I don’t buy him making us better this year.
