Yep. Pretty much what I heard. It’s a little more complicated but at this point I’ll be surprised if he does not come back. We will be loaded.

Good news then! Is the rumor that he’s not hearing great things in these workout or kind of the Jelly treatment. Here are what you need to prove you can clean up, go do it.

The optimist in me thinks EG is going to have a terrific year — that he will take the feedback to heart and really work on the areas of focus where the scouts told him he must improve

Nothing I’ve said about EG is factually wrong.

I have also said this before but EG has always had minimal social media presence, and even with the minimal stuff he posts, essentially none of it is promoting UAB, related to UAB, promoting teammates, etc. the only thing I’ve seen from him on social media relating to UAB are 2nd or 3rd party highlights or retweets, etc

That’s why I said a while back it would be weird and awkward AF to have him post a UAB “come back video.” Dude has said squat about UAB his whole time with us, and UAB didn’t even have him on advertising/schedules for next season. Would be really awkward to all of a sudden come out with a “IMMM BACKKKK” video.

I understand it’s transactional with EG. That’s fine. He’s using UAB to get to the next level and we are using him obviously. But it’s nice when players like jelly, Jemison, etc positively talk about UAB and promote UAB.

I wouldn’t let EG’s lack of social media presence sway you on whether he’s coming back or not. He has always had a minimal social media footprint.

Little bit of a subject change but I’ve noticed in the past few weeks the south side collective said we’ve gotten 4 massive donations to Basketball NIL. Does anyone know what that actually means? Are we talking a 100k donation or 10k or what? Seems like great news but without saying the number I’m clueless to how massive they actually are

Luckily the AAC isn’t huge as a whole. Hopefully a couple of our bigger guys can at least hold their own defensively against the biggest post players we will see. I assume Kennedy is confident with what he has at this point, his player selection seemed very deliberate.

Good enough to beat Memphis/FAU? That’s why I’m concerned about front court. I don’t want just a bid from here on. I want trophies to legitimize it.

Memphis isn’t a huge team in the front court as of right now. They are the same old athletic team they always are, but they really don’t have that monster at center. We weren’t able to stop the FAU entry passes to the Russian last year, maybe having some more athletic bigs will help that. It’s obvious AK was satisfied with what we have, so I’ll assume he knows what his game plan is.

We were better than FAU at FAU but choked the game away late. We were clearly better than them at home. They smoked the sh*t out of us in the conference tourney.

I wholeheartedly believe team blew its proverbial load against UNT the game before and was not prepared to play FAU.

Glad to have EG back!! Come back, be a part of the TEAM, ball out like crazy, and make the league next year. Super talented and deep team.

UNT was our Super Bowl for whatever reason. It happens all the time in sports.
