We need Miami to win to continue our streak of Sweet 16 teams to 43 years. Pitt was bad today.

Kudos to Jim Larranaga. He has the U playing really good basketball at the right time.

Larranaga was Terry Holland’s top, long-time assistant at Davidson and Virginia (through the 70s and 80s). The ‘81 & ‘84 UVa teams reached the Final Four. Now he’s had decades of head coaching success. His ‘06 GMU team made the Final Four. His longevity is legendary and his teams keep getting better.

It's absolutely amazing to see the list coaches that have been involved in Davidson College basketball.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Davidson_Wildcats_men%27s_basketball_coaches

That list includes Terry Holland, Lefty Driesell, Rick Barnes, Gale Catlett, Tom Abatemarco, Jeff Bzdelik, Matt Doherty, and Eddie Biedenbach (29 total).

Davidson College for most of it's existence (1837) was an all male school with an enrollment of about 1,000, located in Davidson, NC (about 20 mi. north of Charlotte). Today it's co-ed with an enrollment of a little less than 2,000, and ranked as one of the nation's top liberal arts Colleges.

Congrats to Miami. I'm a lot happier about that because Michigan State won so the Big Ten didn't get shut out.

Duke did blow it. Tennessee was going downhill heading into the tournament and one of their top players was out for the season. And Virginia? The only way Virginia will ever win another game in the NCAA Tournament is if they play Purdue. I guess you down South probably are more familiar with Furman than I am, I didn't even know where Furman was until they beat em.

Duke should have been the #4 seed over Virginia, they won the bigger game and the no call in the game at Charlottesville was questionable. Imagine if Duke had UVa's place in the draw and vice versa. If Virginia can't beat Furman, we know they won't beat Oral Roberts or Tennessee. Duke would have easily beaten Furman, the question is could they have beaten San Diego State?

RE: March Madness (ACC Edition)
We UofL fans also don't mind sharing some fun at our rivals expense, especially their used car salesman head coach....and even when we're having our own epically bad season...because we remember their 2-10 SEC football days and still trying to poke at us...

When the cayuts lose, and do so especially with a yellow brick road to their goal for the year....we have started a new tradition some years back...we like to call that KCD...which is short for Kentucky Choke Day....and man does that get that sizziling in anger, 10x more than when they try the Ls Down on us.

Carry on with your day fellow ACC brethren.. :)

As I mentioned earlier, Furman is the exact kind of team that poses problems for UVa and I don’t think it was an accident they were paired. I picked Furman in my pool but actually Charleston was my Cinderella.

I do believe Dook should have been a 4.

HINT HINT

Miami might have gotten to this point sooner had they not killed their basketball program after Rick Barry.

NCAA handpicked teams that can kill Duke and Virginia. Most analysts picked Duke also got upset in the first round. The alliance of CBS/Fox/NCAA/B1G/SEC is trying their best to kill ACC/ESPN.

esayem...good chance Cuse returns Mintz, Girard and Edwards next year. Mintz was down in Miami visiting our NIL guy at his Miami Condo. I feel dirty typing this...sigh the new normal.

Throw in Starling from ND and the rest all maturing...Cuse could run past the first weekend in the NCAAs next year.

I can’t tell if you’re being serious. I figured Duke would have beat Tennessee by over ten points. I don’t think their matchups were the problem, I just think they should have been a 4 after winning the ACC tournament.

The committee 100% set low scoring Virginia against high scoring Furman. They do stuff like that on purpose all the time.
