Kent isn't putting better players onthe court. Their coach has constructed the pieces that cover the court. He has muscle where he needs muscle. Space eaters. And he knows how to construct a defense. But they do tire.

Prime example. Jacobs is not taller. He's strong and can hold space. K won't put in Edu or Andre. First game, that's when we made runs. When we matched up better, even with lesser players. K is good but Kent's coach is doing more with less in some respects.

We need someone on the bench that can design a defense and recruit more than guards or we'll never beat what the other coaches in this conference are bringing in.

It would be nice if this team decides to show up for the NIT unlike the past few trips. If they channel their disappointment/anger and play loose they could win a couple games & make some noise. Just seems like the program gets to the NIT & doesn’t really care anymore…

That’d help, but they don’t even need to be great in the post, TK refuses to recruit someone unskilled, meanwhile a strong power big like… say i don’t know, Chris Payton from Kent State has improved immensely impactful tonight and throughout the season.

No one cares about the NIT. Another wasted opportunity.

This is very similar to their only league match up. Kent is clearly the more athletic team. Their defense has disrupted the Rockets offense and beat up Toledo on the boards.

Hard to blame them. Pretty soul crushing when it happens every year. Don’t blame dudes for not having it in them to play in consolation tournament.

Man are we going to miss Milner and JT… sigh.
