Strickland Transferrinf
Was talking to Rod Strickland last night and said his son was gonna be great at JMU when he dropped the nugget that he was going to be joining him at LIU-Brooklyn. Not sure if that’s out there yet.

not surprised either.

enjoyed watching him. he played the game hard and the right way. Will be an asset to LIU next year.

I doubt he'll be the only one headed out.

Damn. I'll really miss him if true, but obviously understandable. Hope he tears it up and is able to stay healthy from here on out.

Thought that might be a possibility. Can’t blame him wanting to play for his dad. Really liked his game. Hope he kills it there!

RE: Strickland Transferrinf
Sorry to hear this. I still think it was his defensive energy as a freshman (By's first year, as well), that changed the culture more than anything else. Lewis was obviously the man, and Vado was a solid second option that year, but it was the freshmen led by Strickland who completely ratcheted the intensity level to something that was never seen under Rowe and only briefly matched under Brady.

RE: Strickland Transferrinf
I was looking back for the tweet where Strickland said he wouldn’t play for his dad but things can change. Hoping that we get him back but I’d understand if he went to LIU.

RE: Strickland Transferrinf
I’m having trouble finding it but if I remember correctly he quote tweeted a Shane Mettlen tweet about his dad getting the job at LIU and basically said “don’t worry everyone. I’m not going anywhere and wouldn’t play for my dad.”

Well, nothing's official yet is it? Maybe Dad just *thinks* he's going to get him there.

If I were in his shoes, I would love to play for my father. They can have that additional memory for the rest of their life.

Whatever happens, just hope it works out for him. Would love to see what he could do for a team being injury free an entire season. He sure has a high motor-might go with territory that he racks up injuries.

I agree, seemed like a good dude that brought a lot of positive energy.

Just could not stay healthy at JMU and shooting not his strong suit.

Probably saw the writing on the wall as being the guard that loses out on PT with Friedal, Nacho, Xavier Brown all returning......plus Edwards plays like in the backcourt too. Probably not a bad loss as gives us another scholarship to work with for the portal.

RE: Strickland Transferrinf
As others have said - quite a shame injuries derailed his JMU career.

Always seemed to max out on effort and play with heart. Wherever he lands, they will appreciate this too. Good luck to Terell.
