RE: ** WBB MACC vs. TDS **
This team was burdened with high expectations from the beginning of the season. And the job became even more difficult when BGSU and Ball State both ramped up their games. An early loss to BG by 12 points certainly created some doubt. So the rockets made that their last loss of the season running off 16 consecutive wins beating Ball State a second time and BG twice at the end of the season. Today they played maybe their best game of the season. Its a fantastic performance and this team should be considered one of the best ever at Toledo. And the coaching staff did an expert job.

Today we celebrate going to the NCAA Tournament!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well said - that completely sums up the season. Love it!!!!!!

UT has such a good fan-base and this will do nothing but grow it.

You gotta pat Cullop on the back for getting this championship with a short roster due to injuries. She probably earned herself a lifetime contract at UT!

Would be nice to see us win one game in the tournament but regardless, a great season

Let's hope the committee doesn't ship UT off to Oregon again like last time. They deserve to play closer to home.

And kudos to Jessica Cook who has had a difficult season this year. Today she stepped up and IMO was the most effective player on the floor for Toledo. She essentially matched Allison Day of BGSU in points and rebounds, taking away what was expected to be a favorable matchup for the falcons.

Bracketology has Toledo playing Tennessee in the first round which would be a very difficult matchup. Tennessee is big and dominates the boards against even the best teams and they played the best teams in the country this year.

Nice job lady Rockets!! Well deserved Championship. I am thrilled to be in Cleveland to take in the festivities. The band, cheerleaders, and dance team add so much to the atmosphere. The Toledo fan support is great.

Go Rockets!!

Great game for Toledo today. Bowling Green seems like a mentally exhausting team to play against the way they pressure the ball so intensely. This veteran Rockets team kept its poise.

We also have to acknowledge a bit of good fortune in making it past the first round. If Buffalo doesn't commit a defensive lapse on our last possession of regulation, or if Stone makes her open 17-foot jumper at the end of regulation, or if the refs decide that Lockett made contact with her last-second block in overtime, then most likely we would be NIT-bound once again.

Nope. Didn't watch. Couldn't risk jinxing the team. Now I can go back and watch the recording.

Wouldn’t have been surprised to see either team win today. Definitely surprised that BG was never in it. I wonder if Toledos comeback last weekend kind of broke them. Or planted enough of a seed of doubt against the rockets. Toledo played fantastic. What a season. Special.

We were at the game but forgot to tape it. Does anyone know if it’s available on demand?

Toledo came out hitting their shots. Cook did a great job early hitting her shots. It was a nice effort and the bench was big. Just a nice win from a solid team. BG would say they had their opportunity, but they didn’t hit the shots that would have put them in striking distance on their runs. They had the lead down to 4 then missed a shot. Toledo answered with two baskets and never looked back. Toledo has solid guards and very good interior ball players in Cook and Garcia. This team has some decent depth and good athletes. This team is fun to watch. Good luck in the tournament. Now go win it!! Go Rockets.

Apparently we won because the refs refused to call obvious fouls on Toledo but called touch fouls on BG? Didn’t seem that way to me but a AZZ fan claims that’s the reason so. . .

Anyway, today is the perfect example of why we need an athletic 6’4” post player who can defend, block shots, post up and step outside to hit threes when necessary. Obviously Cook and Garcia can’t get the job done against MAC teams.

I don't know what game that AZZ fan was watching, but it wasn't the same game that was being played in Cleveland. Two referees of that officiating crew, Cameron Inouye and Angie Enlund, are big time, I've seen them officiating Atlantic Coast Conference and Big East games and, if anything the Falcons got away with some questionable play.

Officiating was fine. They missed some calls but BG was more aggressive so shockingly that’s why they committed more fouls!!!

BG couldn’t hit a three and Toledo hit shots when they needed to. That was the game. Stupid BG dumba$$e$$…

Fralick has a really hard time saying anything positive about UT in the post-games. Both today, and after the game at Savage, I think all she said about UT was "they're a good team." Cullop always gives the other team props in the post-games, win or lose. Starkey said nice things about UT, so did Burke.

When someone asked Fralick about Sammi's rebounding performance today (couldn't hear the precise question,) she looked at the score sheet, and said something like - only 1 was offensive. Yeesh.
