St. John's fires Mike Anderson after four seasons

Yes, but he came to visit holding a $10 million bag of cash.

The plot thickens... St. Johns fired him for cause, and he's suing.

"According to the termination letter obtained by ESPN, Anderson was fired for "failure to create and support an environment that strongly encourages student-athletes who are in the men's basketball program to meet all university academic requirements," "failure to perform your duties and responsibilities in a manner that reflected positively on St. John's University ... in actions [that] brought serious discredit" to the school and "failure to appropriately supervise and communicate with your assistant coaches."."

Well that is an interesting turn, especially when they announce Slick Rick.

I've seen Anderson mentioned as a candidate at Buffalo which seems like a really weird fit.

Anderson has experience at prying money he was owed away from his employers. St. Johns hasn't even bothered to come up with plausible charges of cheating or other violations. He'll get his money.

I thought him going to St. John's made no sense. Buffalo is even worse. His career arc is not looking good.

Anderson will get his money, imo, if that is all St John’s has. They better have receipts!

Won’t be the first time he has had to sick his lawyers on his employer.

I guess his next stop is back to the Group of 5 with the antiquated fastest 40 minutes of basketball. It's not shock and awe any more since everybody has player with length and speed

You arent allowed to hand check anymore, since i think the 2015 season. That as much as anything was the death blow for the 40 minutes of hell defensive style where you started hand checking them when they get off the bus and did not stop until the officials proved they were actually going to call a foul every time you grabbed a guy.
