Jansen is on fire!

Rockets win! will play either BG or Ball State tomorrow at 11AM

Rockets played really well against a good Kent State team. Controlled the game except for the Kent run in the 2nd quarter when Kent made 3 consecutive 3's. Defense really tightened up in the second half. Jansen is becoming a star on this team. Go rockets finish it off tomorrow.

In post-game interview with Jim Heller, Coach Cullop said Q had some stomach issues in the first half and didn't feel well. Half time meds helped her finish the game.

So much balance on this team at both ends. Ten point win is impressive.

Tough game against a good, physical team. Hope BG/Akron is a triple overtime slugfest.

Missed the game - thought it was at 11:00 again. They seem to always play better when I don't watch. Duly noted for tomorrow's final.

It appears BG thinks they are playing Akron as well, as Ball State has just gone up 9 in the second quarter.

Great Win for UT!!!! They beat a strong team.

Both UT teams are team centric. Good coaching and coachable players.

Good win by the Rockets. Played some really great defense. Jansen has been amazing of late. Really filled in well with Q under the weather. And Sammi had another Sammi day. She's been incredible on the boards for an undersized 4.

That foul on Cook in the 1st half was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. Have no idea what the ref was seeing there. Also on the one play where she fell out of bounds, the Kent freshmen looked to have tripped her, but no call there.

Rematch with BG tomorrow. Ball State got all the breaks in the 1st half but never could take the gifts handed them and do anything with them. Brett will be well rested tomorrow having played only 16 minutes due to foul trouble. Fleming got beat up pretty bad though, and Hampton played the whole game, so there could be some fatigue there. Hope Q is ok and and full speed tomorrow. Should be a barn burner.

The polls say Michigan is #18 and Toledo is #34. Win or lose v BGSU the Rocket women should go to the big dance. Anything else would be an injustice. I would love for UT to go up v South Carolina in the Sweet 16.

Here's hoping the Selection gets it right either way.

A little disappointed Akron didn’t give BG a better game, or, as adunifon pointed out, even play. Ball State fell short as well. But I like our chances if we can just avoid the second quarter collapse that’s plagued us.

BG is going to be a tough out. They are playing well. Blew Eastern away and really played well in the second half against Ball State. Coach Cullop will have to be at her best and the rockets need their top game with everyone playing up to their full potential. A win would top off two fantastic seasons for the current roster.

Another problem is there are several league regular season winners (e.g. Gonzaga) who have better NETs than Toledo who have lost in their conference tournament and will be in the mix for an at large bid. Would assume they will get in before the rockets should BGSU win. But I am confident UT will bring it tomorrow.

Put Sammy on BG's center.

Prediction: BG's coach gets hired by a P5 program.
