Surprised not to see much on here about the baseball season yet.

Looks like after a hard start against So. Miss., the team has really picked it up. They're 7-2 against all other teams, with some good matchups coming up against ECU & WF.

Incredible also to see Scott Jackson cross the 200-win mark last weekend in the first game of the double-header.

Here's hoping for a full season of great achievements & highlights!

I watched a lot of the 2 games on ESPN+ against ECU. There were several mental errors that need to be corrected. Baser runners being picked off repeatedly by the pitcher on 1st base and the catcher picking off 3rd steal attempts. If that is a coaching decision that needs to change. If it is player choice, that needs to change. A runner on 2nd base is almost as likely to score as when one is on 3rd base. Of course there are exceptions but those risks by LU have been detrimental. Those actions against good teams like ECU will spell defeat.

Good observation. Hopefully something they are working on this week.

The Wake game yesterday was one ugly duckling. LU got crushed and got plastered beginning in the 1st inning. It's good for LU to play top 10 teams to see what has to happen to achieve that level of success. The challenge is to have confidence and players to reach that goal rather than being overwhelmed and feeling that is possible after the drubbing by Wake. One game does not determine a season.

Sad that it didn't end with another conference trophy, but considering the very odd year they had, them finishing top 4 is a sigh of relief. On to CUSA!
