Enough rambling about basketball, football is coming off one of their best seasons ever, and the spring game is this weekend.

the OL is returning 4 starters, losing Colby, but Marcus Crowell should fill the spot nicely after his return from injury during fall camp last season.

The biggest question for me, Who steps up at the skill positions? Losing Caylin and Lachlan hurts, but JT and Tyler look like they turned a corner at the end of last season.

Game is at 3:30, and is free to attend.

Sean McDermott will be in attendance after Friday night induction to the HOF. Expect a big turnout of former players.

My predictions for breakout players...

Offense - WR DreSean Kendrick - Having excellent Spring after steady Fall season.

Defense - Safety David Roulley - Also having excellent Spring after missing all of 2022 with injury. Reminiscent of Gage Herdman at 6'3" 215 and can fill most of the roles Tye Freeland filled.

I could definitely see Kendrick playing the same role as Newton. Remember two years ago he was a running back also or at least got reps there. He's very dangerous in space.

3:30 equates to practice time during the season and probably off season. Last year the game was really just a practice and the weather wasn't the best. I'm not sure this is as much a fan event as it is an end of the spring season. Can't wait to hear about the progress from the coaching staff.

We should be pretty good again this year from what transpired yesterday. Should be interesting to see some transfers and the true freshmen mix in.
